About Me

I have been a dog lover my whole life and always dreamt of finding a career where I could spend all of my time around them. Though I was never able to have my own dog as a child (we had some very well trained cats instead), I took every opportunity that I could to spend time with dogs; I walked neighbour's dogs and volunteered at a local dog rescue. I would have loved to go on to study and work with dogs right after school, but I was unfortunately led to believe that there were no suitable career

opportunities involving a life dedicated to dogs, so it was suggested that I follow a secondary passion of mine, Art. Having completed a degree in History of Art (BA hons.),  I very quickly realised that I could never be happy if I wasn't living a life surrounded by animals, so I quit my job and decided to do everything I could to make it in the dog world. Luckily, it turned out that my old school teachers were wrong, and for many years now I have been living a happy and successful life, dedicated to the animals I love!

Daisy with Dogs at Buddies Doggy Daycare

While studying to become a dog trainer, I spent several years working within the dog walking and daycare industry, working with hundreds of different dogs and learning about the vast variety of breed types and individual personalities that dogs have to offer.

I worked at Buddies Doggy Daycare for over 5 years, starting as a daycare assistant before being promoted to Assistant Daycare Manager and eventually becoming their Boarding and Administration Manager. Due to the many amazing years I spent at Buddies, I then worked in partnership for several years with them once I began training, working directly with dogs on site as well as offering 1-to-1 training for other dog owners. Unfortunately, my recent relocation to Peterborough has meant a move away from my long term dog friends, but I am looking forward to a new start and the chance to meet and help lots of new dogs.
